Professional Integration HUB 2.0: Participants’ Reports and Interviews
Between 15 October 2024 and 15 January 2025, the Professional Integration HUB successfully completed its second round, supporting 20 Ukrainian professionals through paid, full-time internships in leading Austrian institutions and organisations.
The three-month program combined professional placements, study visits, joint meetings, and a German language course, offering participants a structured and practice-oriented pathway to professional integration in Austria. Internships took place across Vienna, Graz, and Salzburg, reflecting the program’s expanded geographic reach and institutional network.

The full-time format allowed participants to become active members of their teams, engage in real tasks and responsibilities, and gain first-hand insight into Austrian organisational culture and institutional processes.
FINAL REPORTS
At the conclusion of the program, all participants prepared analytical reports based on their internship experience. These reports focus on:
-
the participants’ professional roles, responsibilities, and key contributions within their hosting institutions or organisations;
-
sector-specific practices and working approaches in Austria;
-
comparative reflections between Austrian and Ukrainian professional contexts;
-
practical recommendations that could be adapted or applied in Ukraine.
In parallel, the participants took part in interviews, reflecting on their professional journeys, integration experiences, challenges, and lessons learned during the program.
Together, the reports and interviews offer a grounded, experience-based perspective on professional integration, institutional work in Austria, and the transfer of knowledge relevant to Ukraine’s future recovery and development.
We have compiled all final reports and interviews of the participants of Professional Integration HUB 2.0 in one place. Read the reports and interviews here.
The organizers of the program expects that the graduates will actively apply the knowledge, skills, and professional insights gained through HUB 2.0 in their ongoing work — both in Austria and in contributing to the reconstruction and development of Ukraine.
