10 Voices of Ukrainian Women in Austria: Stories from HUB 3.0
As a tradition, we conclude each round of the Professional Integration HUB by giving the floor to the participants themselves and sharing their honest stories.
This interview series brings together reflections from fellows of HUB 3.0 who speak not only about displacement, but about integration. Nearly four years into the full-scale war, these stories go beyond the moment of arrival. They reflect a longer journey of adaptation, resilience and professional self-discovery.
Over this time, our participants have tested their skills on the Austrian labour market, navigated new professional cultures and gained first-hand experience of what integration truly means in practice. Today, they have something important to say about this path.
Through these conversations, the fellows reflect on their professional identity, the challenges they faced, the skills they developed and the choices they made along the way. They speak about expectations versus reality, about learning to belong, and about building confidence in a new environment.
These stories are honest accounts of growth, persistence and gradual integration. Together, they capture what the Professional Integration HUB is about: creating space for Ukrainian professionals to find their place in Austria while contributing their expertise, values and perspectives to the society they become part of.
